Definition: Volatility is the pace at which stock prices move higher and lower. If a stock is more volatile, it is also more risky.
Also Known As: beta, risk, relative volatility, implied volatility
Examples:
Increased volatility of the stock market is usually a sign that a market top or market bottom is at hand.
